Meet Abi Dean

Coaching and Counselling for Life's Turning Points

I’m Abi Dean — a certified Wingwave® and NLP coach and psychological counsellor, helping people turn uncertainty into calm and clarity.

I am an NLP coach, a Wingwave® coach and a psychological counsellor, with a master’s degree in social sciences. For almost two decades I have accompanied people through difficult times — from stress and life transitions to crisis and grief. Since June 2025 I have been welcoming clients to my practice in Ravda on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, and online across Europe.

My educational background

After my bachelor’s degree in social sciences, I went on to complete a master’s in the same field. During my studies I became fascinated by social dynamics, human behaviour and the psychological factors that shape our everyday lives. That curiosity has stayed with me: I wanted to use what I learned about people to help them overcome obstacles and reach their own goals.

My training and experience

After my studies I completed my NLP training: NLP Practitioner (2009) and NLP Master (2010), both examined according to the standards of the German Association for Neuro-Linguistic Programming (DVNLP), and in 2010 I qualified as an NLP Coach. This gave me in-depth knowledge of NLP and a wide range of coaching techniques. I am also a certified Wingwave® coach, a structured coaching method that works with emotional stress.

I trained as a psychological counsellor at the Paracelsus Schools in Germany. This gave me a broad understanding of the human psyche and of counselling approaches that respond to each person’s individual needs. I also completed training in systemic constellation work at the Paracelsus School in Cologne, which forms the basis of my work with imaginative family constellations.

Since 2008 I have supported people through grief and loss, and in 2014 I completed training in emergency pastoral care (Notfallseelsorge). Around 18 years of grief support and crisis intervention have taught me how much it helps to have someone calm and present at your side when life suddenly changes.

My coaching focuses

My work focuses on stress prevention, motivation and personal growth — and on accompanying people through crises, life transitions and loss. I believe everyone has the capacity for positive change, even if inner blocks, limiting beliefs or stressful circumstances sometimes stand in the way.

Together we identify what is holding you back and develop practical strategies to move forward. I help you recognise your strengths, build self-confidence and set clear goals for your personal and professional life. Using NLP, Wingwave® and counselling methods, I support you in changing unhelpful thought patterns and finding new motivation.

Stress prevention is especially close to my heart. In a fast-paced world, it matters to recognise stressors early and build healthy ways of coping. With relaxation techniques, practical stress-management strategies and mindfulness exercises, many clients find they feel calmer and more balanced in everyday life.

My approach

In my work, a trusting relationship comes first. I create a safe space where you can speak freely, without fear of judgement or criticism. Every person is unique, so every session is tailored to your concerns and your pace.

I believe you already carry the resources you need for positive change. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you discover and activate those resources — and to find your own solutions. With an empathetic and encouraging approach, I support you in taking the next step and exploring new paths.

It brings me joy and gratitude to see people regain clarity, confidence and a sense of direction in their lives.

My coaching and counselling support personal development and wellbeing; they do not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment.

If you would like to find out whether my support is right for you, I warmly invite you to a free, no-obligation first talk — in person in Ravda or online, in German or English.
