Psychological Counselling – Online and in Ravda

Sometimes life becomes too much: a separation, a loss, constant pressure at work, or the feeling of being stuck in old patterns. Psychological counselling gives you a confidential space to talk, sort your thoughts and find your own way forward – online from anywhere, or in person at my practice in Ravda, Bulgaria. In English or German.

Who Is Psychological Counselling For?

Counselling is for people who are going through a demanding phase of life and want professional support to regain clarity and strength. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, keep going round in circles with a decision, or simply need someone who listens without judging.

My counselling is aimed at adults who are fundamentally stable, both mentally and physically, and who want to actively work on their situation. You don’t need a “big problem” to get in touch – a sense that something needs to change is reason enough.

Topics We Can Work On Together

  • Stress, pressure and feeling overwhelmed
  • Life transitions such as separation, relocation, retirement or a new start abroad
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-confidence and self-worth
  • Communication and relationship questions
  • Important decisions and inner conflicts
  • Recurring patterns and inner blocks

How Counselling Works

1. Free initial consultation

We get to know each other, you briefly describe your situation, and together we decide whether counselling is the right step for you.

2. Clarifying your goals

In the first session we look at what is weighing on you and what you would like to achieve.

3. Working together

In our sessions we explore your situation, uncover your strengths and develop practical steps that fit your everyday life.

4. Reviewing progress

We regularly check what has changed and what you still need. You decide how many sessions you want.

Counselling Is Not Psychotherapy

Psychological counselling supports you in coping with life’s challenges. It does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment, and I do not diagnose or treat mental illnesses. If you are currently in therapy, please discuss counselling with your therapist first. If I feel during our work that another form of support would serve you better, I will tell you openly.

In an emergency: If you are in an acute crisis or having thoughts of harming yourself, please call the emergency number 112 (Bulgaria and all EU countries) or go to the nearest hospital straight away.

What Clients Say

After the separation from my long-term partner, I felt as though I had fallen into a dark hole and couldn’t cope with daily life. In three weeks of intensive work, Abi helped me rediscover my strengths and regain my self-confidence. Today I feel so much better and can see many possibilities for my future.
Julie
(41), UK
I lacked self-confidence and tended to withdraw whenever there was conflict. Abi was an attentive, patient listener. With his gentle guidance I discovered abilities I had never been aware of and learnt to use them in difficult everyday situations. Today I no longer let my emotions take full control – I acknowledge them instead of suppressing them.
Rebecca
(39), Germany
Whenever I was in a group, I felt a lump in my throat and fell silent, so others often thought I was aloof. Over 20 sessions we explored where these blocks came from, and I learnt to understand my patterns instead of being controlled by them. Today I take an active part in group discussions. I have moved from silence to having a voice.
Nicole

When I first considered coaching, I lacked clarity, focus and confidence. It felt like moving through thick fog. From the very first session Abi created a safe, non-judgemental space. He gently challenges you, asks the questions you’ve been avoiding and helps turn insight into clear, practical steps. I now feel more grounded and far more confident.
